RELATED: Best Summon Materia In Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion

Of the Final Fantasy 7 metaseries, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy Reunion was already a standout title on the PSP and a perfect fit for fans anticipating the follow-up to the hit Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The game explores the conflict between Midgar and Wutai in more depth before delving into the cloning story arc. Crisis Core is smaller than the mainline story, but with its side content and new game plus, Reunion is a much longer title than it seems. Here’s what players need to know about Crisis Core’s New Game Plus.

What Carries Over In Crisis Core’s New Game Plus?

When players complete Crisis Core: Final Fantasy Reunion on any difficulty, they will gain access to the New Game Plus Mode. Unfortunately, there’s no extra story content, but Zack’s character level will carry over, making some of the more challenging side missions more doable the second or third time in the mode. All the NG+ items that carry over are as follows:

Zack’s level. Experience Points SP Acquired Gil Play time Items (certain exceptions apply) Materia Equipment status (certain exceptions apply) DMW Progress DMW Limit break / limit verge count Buster Sword proficiency Mail (Tutorials, Useful tips)

It’s better to play through Crisis Core on a more manageable difficulty if one intends to unlock and complete everything like the more challenging missions. Just enjoy Zack’s story and focus on leveling up Zack and his DMW characters. This will make more challenging difficulties manageable in a second playthrough.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is available now for the PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
