Nadella has attributed a lot to cricket and emphasised on how it has helped him learn about teamwork and leadership.
“I think playing cricket taught me more about working in teams and leadership that has stayed with me throughout my career,” Nadella revealed.
Nadella played cricket as part of the Hyderabad Public School team, and cites it as one of his hobbies today. He still loves watching the longest form of the game, Test cricket.
“I love it [Test Cricket],” he added. “There’s so many subplots in it, it’s like reading a Russian novel.”
Nadella had joined Microsoft back in 1992, while serving as their Executive Vice President of Cloud and Enterprise Group.
