Despite the lack of content updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the fanbase seems to still enjoy occupying themselves with different aspects of the life sim. Many continue to log on to maintain their island or interact with the island residents even though the game is more than two years old. Others seem to prefer creating original content for fellow fans to enjoy. This includes recreating real-life or pop culture scenarios in the video game, making fan art, and even sculpting figures to represent the game in the real world.

Showing of their crafting skills, Redditor kerobyx shared a photo of the incredible diorama they created based on the interior of Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Nook’s Cranny. In the photo, Timmy and Tommy Nook are placed at the front and center of their iconic little store. Fans of the game will likely recognize some of the items displayed in the diorama as these pieces can actually be purchased within the life sim. For those curious about the Redditor’s artistic process in making the shop interior, kerobyx uploaded a full video for other Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans to watch.

Many commenters on the Reddit thread seemed to be in awe of kerobyx’s work. This is not surprising, given the vast amount of detail they put into the shop interior. Some also asked what materials the artist used to complete the project. According to the artist, they used a mix of different mediums for the whole diorama. They used 3D-printing to sculpt the Nookling figures, foam board for the main structure of the piece, and clay for the rest of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons furniture items.

According to kerobyx’s profile, they have also created dioramas from a variety of other video game series. This includes Cuphead, Super Smash Bros., Super Mario, Kirby, and even Angry Birds. Hopefully this one they have created based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons will not be the last. With the life sim having several other notable buildings like the Able Sister shop, the Museum, and even the Town Hall, the artist has a lot of inspiration to work with for their next project.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on the Nintendo Switch.
