The receiver was carted off the field after his ankle rolled under him when he got tangled up during a 14-yard run.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones later said Hurns suffered a dislocated left ankle and a fractured fibula, among other broken bones.

Hurns vowed to be fit and ready to go again when the next campaign gets under way after undergoing surgery on Saturday.

“I’ll be good to go by the beginning of the season,” Hurns told NFL Network.

Hurns, who signed a two-year deal with the Cowboys this offseason, had 20 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns this season.
